Cape Clear Island Looped Walks have been listed in the 2012 edition of 'Looped Walks in Ireland' produced by Fáilte Ireland and available in tourist offices throughout the country. This is the first of a number of steps towards full official recognition of our two looped trails, The Glen Trail and The Cnoicín Trail. It is also planned to provide a leaflet guide in due course which can be provided to arriving walkers in the Island Information Office which is conveniently located at the trail head and other locations throughout the Island. In some parts of the walks non standard signage was installed on a temporary basis for safety reasons, this has now been replaced with the standard looped walks signage throughout. Maintenance and improvement works are continuing on the trails in order to achieve as high a standard as possible.
